Becky Bilyeu

Hello and welcome:
My name is Becky Bilyeu and I am a 45 year old Oregon Native. My Astrological sign is Cancer with an Aquarious Moon and Capricorn Rising, I state this because that actually says a lot for those who follow the stars and planets.

I am a family oriented person and share my life with my partner Frankie and our wonderful dog Sophie. I have 3 younger sisters and two nieces Grace and Harper who are the delight of my life.
In my past professional life I worked in the Social Services field for over 10 years and then I was self employed as a coffee house owner for 9 years and began doing art during that time. I am now happily fulfilled working in long term care with Elders. I find such grace, strength and hope from their wisdom and life experiences that they share with me.

I am a self taught photographer with a natural eye to see the ESSENCE of the subject I am taking whether it be a person, animal or piece of natural beauty. My True Bliss is behind my camera lense. I often go off on my own and get lost taking photographs as a form of meditation and it is sometimes then that I get my most beautiful and moving photos.

My art is mixed media. I do a little of this and a little of that and I usually put it all together and get something pretty amazing and thought provoking. I tend to use a lot of color and my art most often has inspiring words or quotes in it. I love to PERSONALIZE whatever I am creating, and it gives me great pleasure to make something for someone specifically in mind; so I definitely appreciate and welcome commissioned works and special requests. When I go to weddings or other events I often take apart the invitation and use it to make the gift or card I give the person. I make origianal hand crafted cards. My specialty is HAND LETTERING...I have a pretty unique font that I have mastered and though it is not caligraphy it is beautiful and I can personalize or letter just about anything for you on any surface. Using paint, pens, engraving, etc.

I also paint furniture and have a very whimsical and colorful style and approach. I let my inner child be the guide.
