Coming full circle

How many of you get surprised on a daily basis with a hello from a friendly face out of your past?  Lately it seems to be a daily occurance for me.  And being the networking queen I quite like it.  I joined Facebook not long ago..can't even remember why now, or who told me I should...funny.  But within a minute I was connected to two of my best friends from high school I hadn't spoken to in years.  I had thought I lost touch with them forever. Since then my "friends" list has grown to almost 250 without any effort at all.  Literally every day someone from my past appears to my delight.  I was moved to discover how to use my scanner for the first time in my life and downloaded pictures from the ole' high school days mostly of times in the school plays...good times those were.  Built a strong foundation for my life today, and I am grateful for the on- line community of Facebook that has brought me back in touch with so many of my old Roosevelt High friends.  It saddens me that today's kids aren't getting to have the same experiences I did in High School.   We had such good times, with Athletics, Drama, Speech Team, Chorus and Music and so many interest groups to join...I was so busy!  Today's kids have it much harder.  There isn't enough money nor support, it is just sad.  Times change.  I am glad I have such great memories and finally a place to connect with so many wonderful people.
